We can't invest months of work in our Map Editor as Rollercoaster Tycoon did. Remember that it is exactly what Christophe used to make all the maps of Penguins Arena. I did my first map saturday without any problem, you just need to read the documentation and try to play with the editor a little bit.

You see, you just need to read the documentation and to practise a little... You can't play the maps for the moment, you'll need the new version of Penguins Arena (this week or the next one).

Well this was a welcome addition alright! Played around with it for a while, didn't come up with anything truly playable but it was good fun toying with. Reminiscent of the Aurora toolkit for Neverwinter Nights hehe. Got a few ideas that I'll attempt to realize in the next few weeks, and already begun trying to recreate an old favourite scenario of mine. How's the patch coming along? Ps. I demand a Cocoa/Carbon stylized interface! Bloody Windoze 95 looks irks me!

Is there a way to create interiors, i.e. caves? The toolkit doesn't seem to allow such designs.

You can't create customs objects, I'm not sure will work on that as it'll make the project a lot more complex.
Did you guys already created maps? If so sent them to me (mathieu @ frogames . com), if your map is nice and if we have time to do so, we may release your map in the next PA version!

You can't create customs objects, I'm not sure will work on that as it'll make the project a lot more complex.
Been struggling to create bridges of ice that run over the water, but I realized that it would require a custom object, yes? The terrain editor gives you a single "sheet of paper", more or less, to raise and lower, but not to fold if you catch my drift. What I want(ed) to do was to add another piece of paper in the terrain editor and fold it to make it run from one platform to another, yet leaving a gap between the ice bridge and the water. Like this: Is it possible to "add sheets" to accomplish this, or would it require objects?

It would require objects. You only have one "terrain layer" and you can't make holes in it.
