i would prefer if the snow vehicle can't shoot itself, but your teammates can jump on and shoot their normal weapons
if the teammate got hit it fall off, if the driver got hit the vehicle slides a bit forward last direction and then stops.
in addition to that you could make a conquer-mode where u have a start point for your team with1 vehicle and start up capturing victory-points. these vic-points are borer of scientists (like those used to get profiles of the snow/ice) and if u capture it 10 sek after it will make an eruption throwing away any opposing penguin nearby. it strength should be sufficient to hit some penguins into water. but u still have time to capture it yourself when you hit all penguins around it and step next to it. the goal should be to lower your opponent "tickets" like in battlefield. vic-points should stay under control of a team if at least 1 penguin of this team stands right next to it
for examlpe a map with 4 teams would have 2-4 vic-points and every team would have 20 tickets. so with 2 vic-points the penguins fight "deadly" battles to get one point and to hold it so they can lower the opponent points more efficient
